Brief History of the Santa Teresa Hot Springs​

The Santa Teresa Hot Springs in El Salvador offer a unique natural experience, standing out for their thermal pools and the scenic beauty that surrounds them. The complex is known for having one of the largest ausoles (geothermal springs) in Central America, making this destination a popular spot for tourism and relaxation for everyone.

The Route of the Flowers in El Salvador includes the colonial and artisanal towns of Concepción de Ataco, Apaneca, Nahuizalco, Juayua, and Salcoatitan. These towns bring together the best landscapes, culture, and gastronomy of El Salvador, featuring a peaceful and cool climate, places wrapped in unforgettable greenery, and rich history and traditions. They occupy the highest part of the Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range, reaching up to 2,381 meters above sea level.

Itinerary:

  • 7:00 AM: Departure from Hotel Intercontinental – San Salvador

  • 9:00 AM: Arrival at the Hot Springs

  • 11:00 AM: Departure for Hacienda San Antonio

  • 1:00 PM: Lunch in the town center of Juayua

  • 2:30 PM: Departure for Albania Labyrinth

  • 5:00 PM: Arrival at the magical town of Ataco

  • 6:00 PM: Return to San Salvador

  • 8:00 PM: Arrival at Hotel Intercontinental – San Salvador

Cancellations

Cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before the activity. If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance, we will refund 50%. If you cancel with less time, arrive late, or do not show up, no refund will be offered.
